For thinwall and difficult tube bending.

Roll bending permits bending of all tubes. with shorter radii than those used for press bending. and attainment of better bend quality. It is particularly recommended for thin tubes used for furniture and metalwork (102 quality tubes. tubes to standard NFA 49642) and 304. 316. etc. stainless Steel tubes. |

Depending on the type of form to be produced and the type of tube to be bent. different tooling can be used. |

MANDREL TOOLING The use of an internal mandrel can defer the onset of wrinkling and ovality. The mandrel can be straight (Fig. 1) or articulated (Fig. 2); the choice will be determined by the following ratios:
